Great Internships for Minorities (Women, Blacks, Hispanics, and so on) and persons with disabilities.

The State of Wisconsin has a state wide internship for racial/ethnic minorities, women, and persons with disabilities names Summer Affirmative Action Intern Program (SAAIP).

The program provides students with practical, on-the-job experience, training, and exposure to the Wisconsin Civil Service System. Many SAAIP alumni have succeeded in obtaining employment in state government as limited term or permanent state employees.

National Fall Leadership Conference (NFLC)

Milwaukee, Wisconsin will play host to NFLC this November the 11 – 12 at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. NFLC allows PBL members to participate in motivational general sessions, networking, career search, and career building workshops. Wisconsin PBL will have a State meeting (tentative time is 5:30 on Friday) more information will be provided to your chapter.
